Matt was the third realtor we interviewed. He was the only one that thought he could list and sell our house for what we thought it was worth. Matt had us make a couple of small upgrades, in addition to those we knew had to be done (paint, carpet and some minor plumbing). He found the trades to do the needed work (we got two other estimates; his guys were cheaper for the same products), oversaw the work and left us with only the move to coordinate. We used Matt to handle the listing of list my Mom's house. Since I live outside outside of the area, it was important that I utilized an agent who not only knew the market, but could also assist in finding reputable, fairly-priced, contractors to help do some required "fix-ups" before we put the house on the market. We also wanted to make sure that we had assistance in having the house professionally staged and photographed. Matt and I first met as neighbors in a townhome community in Herndon, VA. Through that exposure we became friends and when the time came for me to sell that townhouse, Matt was able to help me make some enhancements and it for top dollar within 2 weeks. This October my mom needed to sell her house and move into an assisted living facility near us in Colorado. My mom is the original owner (1961) of a single-family home in Springfield, VA. I needed some significant help to a) find an estate sales firm to sell her items and clear out the entire house b) modernize the house and c) sell it for a good price. The first day I met Matt we had pre-planned a list of properties to view and agreed on a time to meet at the first property. I showed up to the first property and Matt was already there with the doors open and lights on ready to show me the home. Not only did he answer all my questions along the way, but even provided information on items I hadn't even considered. Which helped me so much in my decision making process. When Matt didn't have an immediate answer or wasn't sure on something, which was very seldom, he didn't fake it or guess he was honest and upfront and said he would get me the answers. Again Matt came through with flying colors and got me in touch with a lender he works closely with. They were able to provide me with an approval letter within 24 hours of completing an over the phone application. They too were down to Earth as is Matt, always willing to answer any questions I had either by phone or email. I couldn't have asked for a better deal than the one they provided me. I know my review of Matt may sound as if it’s too good to be true, but it isn't. He is the real deal folks! I'll provide one last example of how Matt will go to the moon for his clients. Sparing you the long boring details of the bargaining process, the sellers and their agent were not the easiest people to work with. That being said, my wife and I were ready to through in the towel and keep looking at other properties, on more than one occasion, because the sellers kept pushing back on every detail in the contract literally up until the morning of closing. Matt never wavered, not one bit and never let us throw that towel in. He knew how bad we wanted that house, but also knew we weren't going to sell our soles for it. Fast forward a couple of hours to the settlement and I was completely and utterly overjoyed with the contract and everything Matt was able put together.
